About Us
Our Story
Communicate-Change is about two cousins coming together to use
their complementary backgrounds in technology and communications
to deliver a new service offering. Surrounded by change,
professionally and personally, they empathize with the constant
learning of new technology that employees continually face.
Here are two people, fairly technology savvy, and they too have
been barraged and frustrated with learning—not just one—but
multiple changes simultaneously and continuously.
This passion to
make it easier for the recipients of new technology led to
Martha Hudak and Mark Menarik collaborating on
Communicate-Change. In the process of researching and learning,
they found that everyone benefits when the focus is on people.
The CIO gets his business goal met. The IT department sees the
technology they labored hard to develop get used properly.
Department heads have less employee resistance. And most of
all, the employee—or end-user in IT language—is given time to
adjust to change, understand its benefits, prepare to learn
something new and adopt its use faster.

It blends expertise and rigor in technology, communications and
project management with an original change management
communications methodology. This is combined with years of
hands-on project delivery experience.
Martha and Mark
are experienced working in the enterprise computing,
telecommunications and technology sectors on projects involved
with network infrastructure, systems integration, wireless,
software development, business intelligence and data
warehousing.
Partners
Martha J. Hudak,
APR*, is an experienced professional in all communication
disciplines with senior leadership positions for Fortune 500
companies, associations and non-for-profits and advising
clients in diverse industry sectors and new business models.
Her
corporate experience includes leading the change communications
for a $46 million technology initiative in the utility sector
along with directing communications announcing mergers and
acquisitions, corporate restructurings and employee health and
wellness programs.
Martha completed training in the Project Management Institute’s
project management model and continues to research and author
work on change management and communications models. Martha
holds an MA in mass communications, BA in journalism with a
speech broadcasting minor and E-Business Strategy Certificate.

Mark Menarik is a highly versatile executive and
entrepreneur accomplished in technology ventures, new product
and services developments, mobile/wireless solutions,
collaborative software development and alternative energy
directions.
His passion lies in bringing a mix of technical
acumen, creative elements, start-up enthusiasm, relationship
development and social facilitation to new projects from
creation to launch, acceptance and acclaim.
Well studied in neuro-linguistic communications,
sales fundamentals, principles of business success and executive
messaging, Mark has a BS degree in general engineering from
University of Illinois-Champaign with a minor in marketing.
